A little while ago I had the pleasure of photographing Baby Lily. We did a session indoors (including a tutu!) and then a few minutes outdoors of the entire family. Lily has one of the prettiest smiles in San Francisco and was very fun to photograph! Thanks to her parents for a great shoot!
Enjoy the [...]
I’ll cut to the chase, this audio makes me cringe a little but I thought my mom did a fantastic job so I thought I’d shared it.
Last month I was working with the folks over at Blurb at the PPE show in New York. My mother who is a fine art photographer based on the [...]
Last weekend I photographed two beautiful kids and a beautiful home in the East Bay. It was definitely one of my favorites for the year; the kids were perfect, sweet, and fun and the setting was magazine-worthy. Thank you to James and Caroline and especially Lucas and Ella!
Enjoy the slideshow!

I’ve been super busy with family sessions and a few commercial projects. It’s been a crazy month already! Stay tuned this week for lots of new photo shoots (even one that may be my fav all year) as well as some updates on holiday ordering.
In the meantime enjoy this photo of a little photo assistant [...]
Being two unfortunately gets a bad rap. But in my opinion it’s such a fun, independent - dare I say Maverick moment - for a child. That said, I was so excited to photograph two sweet, little two year olds: Lillie and Sasha.
It was quite a rainy afternoon but the party still went on inside. [...]
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any kids products. There are lots of new babies in our life right now so I’m always on the look-out (although this product in particular is for kids 3 and up). It’s a color wheel puzzle made by pottery barn kids. It features colors such as ochre, vermillion, [...]
I know this isn’t kids related but I wanted to share a recent photo shoot I did for the incredibly talented jeweler, Rebecca Godson. She and I collaborated on this shoot and she hired a great crew. We woke up super early and photographed in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.
I got to shoot on [...]
I’m in New York this week. I’m shooting a bit, working the blurb.com booth at the PhotoPlus expo, and eating lots of great food. Thanks to all the awesome photographers I met today. It was really great to see you in person, especially Amy-Beth and Susan (both photogs in New York)!
I thought I’d post two [...]
Wow. It’s terrible what a long list of to-dos will do to a person. I forgot vintage photo Friday, last week! Here’s the photo. Don’t worry, I won’t miss this Friday’s!
This weeks photo:
Found at a local antique store. I am pretty certain this is the same child. I found several prints that were the same [...]
A few months ago I was lucky enough to photograph Brandon and Alexa Park! They are adorable twins and they were very fun to photograph. Today, their mom Jua, sent me the final baby announcement they sent out (they purchased the digital negatives and did the announcement on their own). I think it is very [...]
I am very happy to announce upcoming photo sessions in the St.Louis/Southern Illinois area. I had a fabulous time photographing Kate & Audrey and look forward to meeting more cute kids!
I’m offering two sessions. My very popular fine art session and a special mini-session geared toward busy parents who just need a few images for [...]
I’m headed off to city hall in a few moments to photograph another wedding. I love it there because there is so much love in the air. It’s making me all sentimental for the love in my life so I thought I’d post this photo of Joe and Luna. He was a little down or [...]
Today is the very first vintage photo Friday! I hope you’ll stop by every Friday for the next image.
This week’s image:

This week’s image comes from the Library of Congress’s vast national archive. It’s two children who were separated from [...]
My last shoot during my whirlwind trip to Chicago then the St. Louis area was two very sweet sisters. To my utter astonishment, they were amazingly well behaved, incredibly polite, sweet, and simply perfect little subjects. As most child photographers will admit photographing kids at this age is all about patience, lowering your expectations, and [...]
My favorite family photo sessions are all about location and there’s nothing better than just taking a walk with a family through their neighborhood (especially when it happens to be my own). I was so delighted to spend an early September morning with Maxine, Joel, Simon, and Ruby.
I’m intrigued by sibling relationships, especially in slightly [...]
