A little while ago I had the pleasure of photographing Baby Lily. We did a session indoors (including a tutu!) and then a few minutes outdoors of the entire family. Lily has one of the prettiest smiles in San Francisco and was very fun to photograph! Thanks to her parents for a great shoot!
Enjoy the [...]
I know this isn’t kids related but I wanted to share a recent photo shoot I did for the incredibly talented jeweler, Rebecca Godson. She and I collaborated on this shoot and she hired a great crew. We woke up super early and photographed in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.
I got to shoot on [...]
Today is the very first vintage photo Friday! I hope you’ll stop by every Friday for the next image.
This week’s image:
Louis & Lola, orphans of the Titanic waiting to be reunited with their mother, 1912.
5×7 glass negative
This week’s image comes from the Library of Congress’s vast national archive. It’s two children who were separated from [...]
My favorite family photo sessions are all about location and there’s nothing better than just taking a walk with a family through their neighborhood (especially when it happens to be my own). I was so delighted to spend an early September morning with Maxine, Joel, Simon, and Ruby.
I’m intrigued by sibling relationships, especially in slightly [...]
You may recall that I photographed baby Dashiell when he was much younger (and tinier!). This little guy has got to be the cutest baby in the neighborhood and he is growing so fast! I love his roly poly little legs and huge smile. Last time we took a few with Dashiell and his mom, [...]
Traveling out of town for work and play puts me very far behind! I’m up to my neck in books and portrait sessions but thankfully I’m hunkered down for the next two weeks - then I’m off to photograph a wedding in Memphis!
I can’t wait to share a few new sessions in Chicago and St. [...]
I photographed a Potrero Hill Family on Saturday morning and then did a fashion-type shoot for a jeweler friend on Sunday. Stayed tuned for some images from the past couple of weeks!
In the meantime, I wanted to share this photo from Sunday. I absolutely love stumbling upon a kid in a grocery store either wearing [...]
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Maxine Siu’s store called Stem in the Mission District of San Francisco. Ruby, Maxine’s daughter was the perfect photo assistant, making the shoot easy and fun. Thanks, Ruby!
If you’ve never been to Stem, go now. Maxine has an incredibly well designed store, with lovely and unique flower arrangements, [...]
I had lots of fun on Saturday at the SF Birth & Baby Fair. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth! It was wonderful to see so many beautiful new moms, moms-to-be, and a few dads sprinkled in. I was also very happy to be paired up with Tori of Little Fish Boutique. Check [...]
Today, my brand-new Moo cards arrived in the mail. I have an obsession with these things. They are inexpensive, fun, and easy to modify for upcoming events. I’m using them as tags for my gift bags at two upcoming events.
You’ll be able to read more in my upcoming newsletter but I’ll be at the following [...]
I absolutely love children’s clothing and it’s my opinion that the kids in my neighborhood (Potrero Hill, SF) are some of the most stylish around. A client of mine sent me a link to Tea Collection many months ago and I haven’t had the urge to blog about it until today.
Tea Collection has a new [...]
Last week, my cousin Mary and her daughter Ciana had a twelve hour layover in San Francisco, on their way home to New Zealand. I wish they could have stayed longer.
We took a nap on the bed:
We ate Vietnamese food (too bad Ciana only gets breast milk):
…and we even had some coffee:
It was a very [...]
Here’s another fun session at the Japanese Tea Gardens and SF Botanical Gardens. I had the pleasure of spending a slightly overcast (which is great for photography) but very fun morning with Vivian, Nick, and their parents (you may recall their proof book). Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot. Thanks Katya, [...]
